Jorma Kaukonen
Brief Bio
Guitarist Jorma Kaukonen was a founding member of legendary rock band Jefferson Airplane. He later went on to form Hot Tuna (along with Jefferson Airplane bassist Jack Casady). He is still active performing and recording with various incarnations of Hot Tuna, and has also recorded and toured extensively as a solo act.
In 1989, Jorma and his wife established Fur Peace Ranch in southeastern Ohio; a "guitar camp" where guitarists come to take courses of instruction taught by Jorma and other famous guitarists.

Selected Discography
AMERICA'S CHOICE (Hot Tuna) - This rock masterpiece was the highlight of Hot Tuna's electric period.
QUAH - Originally intended as a collaboration with Tom Hobson, only a few of the cuts from those sessions survived the record company's scrutiny, so this is a solo album for the most part. Widely regarded as one of the best fingerpicking guitar records of all time. Originally released in 1974, recently remastered for CD issue on the RCA label.
JORMA - His solo masterpiece from 1979. Mostly acoustic but with screaming psychedelic electric guitar buried way back in the mix, to dramatic and beautiful effect.
MAGIC - All-acoustic live solo performance, originally released in 1991. Includes the staple songs of his repertoire including "Roads & Roads &", "Embryonic Journey", "Candy Man", and "I'll Be Alright Someday".
