Arturia Origin Keyboard Synthesizer.

This Origin Keyboard Synthesizer is Arturia's new version of the Origin Desktop module for the keyboard player. It keeps the outstanding modular system of Origin Desktop, but puts it on a panel that mounts and closes on a high quality keyboard controller. The intuitive interface is kept in place, along with all of the modules from the most famous synthesizers (Moog Modular, ARP 2600, CS-80, Jupiter-8, Minimoog, Prophet 5, and Prophet VS) and organs (Tonewheel and Rotary). The integration of the ribbon control is a blast, the keyboard aftertouch possibilities open up worlds of expressivity, while the playing modes are tuned to the expectations of any demanding performer.Perform in style Origin Keyboard is made for sound creators and players—musicians who are in the studio as much as they are on stage. It is a complete rock-solid mobile solution, offering everything you need to perform your sounds in a single, easily transportable cabinet. The structure of Origin Keyboard is the same as Origin Desktop, so you keep every astounding component in this version: a modular multi-synth creation device for the widest variety of sounds possible, a set of pre-configured synthesizer templates, TAE (True Analog Emulation) for that warm and authentic analog sound, and onboard DSP processing for maximum power.Play a premium quality lightweight keyboard with 61 keys, velocity response, and aftertouch. Then use the joystick, the ribbon controller, and the numerous controllers on the interface. Set the inclination of the front panel, whether you want to sit down or stand up when playing. Finally close the panel and you are good to go to the next stage or the next studio session. Origin Keyboard is an invitation to a unique playing experience. As a matter of fact, it is the first laptop synthesizer ever.Sound with an Attitude Origin sounds like nothing else on the planet. It not only implements True Analog Emulation, a technology which accurately models analog synthesizers (letting you layer up to four of these monster synths without using any of your computer's CPU), it goes a step further. Origin takes the concept of the analog modular systems of the past to a new level using cutting edge digital technology. You can combine different models from different systems together, effectively designing new synthesizers that have never existed. Take the oscillators from the Minimoog, the filters from the CS-80, and the Bode shifter from the Moog Modular V to create your own synth. How can Arturia manage to do this in a standalone hardware synth? Origin uses two Analog Devices TigerSHARC DSP processors that actually have more audio power than even the newest multi core PC processors. Beside that, Origin is not a simple hardware synthesizer, it is an integrated system offering the best out of the hardware and software worlds: Origin can be used as stand alone to play live on stage and also as a plug-in with your sequencer in the studio environment. The Pinnacle of. ...details

Arturia ARP-2600 V2.

In addition to the original functions, MIDI control, polyphony, and the ability to create, save, and recall presets are all provided. Four revolutionary tracking generators add sound design possibilities that have never been seen before. Additional effects are also provided, and, along with the original ARP sequencer, they form an exciting new virtual synthesizer. If you are at the beginning of your learning curve, you will enjoy the hundreds of presets provided, or even if you are an experienced sound designer, the ARP 2600 V 2.0 virtual synth will allow you to immediately add new dimensions to your music.Sound MAP: Explore the virtual synth's hundreds of sounds using Arturia revolutionary Sound MAP. Add filters to make your search easier, or get back to the traditional list of presets, by sound-designer or by type. Be creative, be funky, be a sound-traveler.A little bit of history Alan R. Pearlman, whose initials would form the name of ARP Instruments, became interested in instruments for electronic music as early as 1948, when he was a student at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. This was a means for him to associate his two passions: electronic music and the piano. In 1969, he created ARP Instruments (originally called Tonus Inc.) with David Friend and Lewis G. Pollock. The company, based in Newton Highlands (Massachusetts, USA), conceived electronic products, but also and above all else a large modular synthesizer, the ARP 2500. The machine used a matrix which connected the different sections of the synthesizer, instead of the traditional cables found in the Moog Modulars. The ARP 2500 synthesizer found success in American universities. The growth of ARP instruments was fast, and, in 1972, the ARP 2600, probably the most legendary of the entire range, was unveiled. This semi-modular synthesizer, conceived with an educational goal, was to become hugely successful after a shaky start. The ARP 2600 was notably used by Stevie Wonder, Joe Zawinul (Weather Report), Tony Banks (Genesis), Jean-Michel Jarre, Herbie Hancock, and many others. ARP was the market leader in synthesizers during the 70s, with around 40% of the market share. In ten years, three versions of the ARP 2600 were commercialized: The first version was called "Blue meanie" because of its steely blue finish. The "blue meanie" was quickly replaced by a second version, with a grey background finish and white silk screening (1972). This was to be more popular. In 1978, ARP decided to change the graphic chart for all of its machines: a black background color with orange silk screening was introd. ...details

Arturia MoogModular V2.5.

Arturia, in partnership with Bob Moog, has created Moog Modular V 2.5, a faithful, virtual reproduction of one of the most famous series of synthesizers: Moog Modular. Whether recreating the abstract tonal qualities of the classic electronic soundtracks, or pushing forward the sonic boundaries of today, the Moog Modular V 2.5 is the synthesizer of choice for sound exploration, anywhere, anytime. The virtual synthesizer has all the vibe and the fat sound of the original, cleverly combined with important contemporary features like polyphony, MIDI control, loading, and saving of patches.A little history on Moog Modular It was in 1964 that the first prototype of a Moog synthesizer was produced. It was presented at the AES Show (Audio Engineering Society) and immediately generated a huge amount of interest. In 1965, Bob Moog decided to release the 900 series for commercial sale, and in 1967 he made the decision to produce different machines, each with a certain number of modules. This marked the birth of modular systems I, II, and III."Probably the number one system" (Peter Forrest, "The A-Z of Analog Synthesizers"), the Moog Modular was soon to be adopted by groups like Tangerine Dream, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones. Arturia CS-80 V2.

The Arturia CS-80 V 2.0 virtual synth is the reproduction of the legendary Yamaha CS-80, which was considered by many as the "ultimate polyphonic synthesizer," back in the late 70s. It was made popular by artists and groups like Toto, Jean-Michel Jarre, Keith Emerson, Stevie Wonder, Vangelis, Ultravox, and Peter Gabriel, just to name a few. More than twenty five years after its release, the time has come to rediscover a sound that has extensively contributed to the history of music.Sound MAP: Explore hundreds of sounds in this virtual instrument software using Arturia's revolutionary Sound MAP. Locate areas you like and pick a sound that will stimulate your creativity. Morph sounds on the MAP by clicking anywhere you like. Add filters to make your search easier, or get back to the traditional list of presets, by sound-designer or by type. Be creative, be funky, be a sound-traveler. The Arturia CS-80 V 2.0 virtual instrument offers all the features of the original, plus a new generation of innovative features, taking the original design to a new elevated level: • A modulation matrix to rebuild all circuits gives you a choice of 12 sources and 38 destinations for 10 additional modulations • A Multi Mode allows you to assign a different sound to each polyphonic voice. 4 different keyboard sections for "multitimbrality," with the possibility to direct each voice (4 polyphonic modes, and 3 unison modes from 2 to 8 voices) • An arpeggiator and a stereo delay The Arturia CS-80 V 2.0 virtual instrument comes loaded with more than 400 presets made by a selection of talented sound designers.A little history lesson In 1976, Yamaha introduced the CS-80, a synthesizer based on the same circuits as the GX1. The price tag ($6900) put it out of the reach of most musicians, and the weight (83kgs with stand) made it sometimes hard to use on stage. But the qualities of this Yamaha synthesizer, considered Japan's first great synth, made it immediately famous in the music industry. Thanks to it's heavy use in the late 70s and early 80s by a number of pop groups, including Electric Light Orchestra, Toto, Paul McCartney and Wings, Vangelis, Bon Jovi, Jean-Michel Jarre, Geoffrey Down, Stevie Wonder, and many others, the CS-80 turned into a real myth.Peter Forrest (in the "A-Z of Analogue Synthesizers") says: "When it comes to trying to decide which of the top-flight synths is the best ever, it's not easy. But if you are looking at richness of sound coupled with performance power, and sheer overkill, maybe nothing can touch it.". ...details

Arturia Prophet V2.

As with all other soft synths created by Arturia, Prophet-V 2.0 brings you replicas of its inspirations, the Prophet-5 and Prophet VS, both visually and sonically. Using the Prophet-V 2.0 virtual instrument will be second nature for the connoisseurs. However, if you are new to these synths, the only thing you will miss by not having the hardware versions is the workout from transporting them to the studio. Finally, since the Prophet-V 2.0 virutal synthesizer is designed with Arturia's TAE technology, you can be sure you will not be giving up any sound quality.Prophet 5 Interface The virtual emulation offered in the Prophet-V 2.0 is an exact replica of the original instrument and uses the same subtractive synthesis model. Subtractive synthesis refers to the filtering of sounds in a specific way in order to create harmonically rich waveforms and new timbres. Arturia's reproduction of subtractive synthesis with TAE guarantees the sound quality of the virtual instrument. The Arturia Prophet-V 2.0 soft synth carries all of the original parameters, and the 40 original presets of the Prophet 5. The potentiometers or switches associated to these 54 parameters will permit you to create an infinite variety of sounds that were native to the original synthesizer. In the Arturia Prophet 5 soft synth you will find: •Compatibility with the presets of the original synthesizer •2 analog oscillators (TAE technology) •1 white noise module •1 low-pass resonance filter •2 ADSR envelopes •1 LFO •Poly Mod section (which allows you to apply FM on oscillator A and on the filter)Prophet VS Interface The Prophet VS uses wave table or vector oscillators. In this type of synthesis, the oscillator waveforms are digitally stored in a table which the user can freely select, depending on the texture of the sound that is required. With the VS you can recreate that classic 80's wave table synthesis sound within your computer. The virtual synthesizer gives you 96 digitally sampled waveform types at your fingertips. Use up to 4 oscillators simultaneously and mix them in real time by sweeping the joystick or the 5 point envelope. The Prophet VS brings you a unique sound that has the strength to stand on its own, but at the same time is complementary to that of the Prophet 5 soft synth. In the Arturia Prophet VS you will find: Compatibility with the presets of the original synthesizer •4 digital oscillators •1 4-point mixer with joystick •1 multi mode filter (LP, HP, BP, Notch) •1 panaoramic module •2 LFO •3 5-point envelopes •1 Modulation matrixProphet Hybrid In Hybrid mode, Arturia has brought something extra special into this virtual instrument. One of the things that is so great about having a new synthesizer is the unexpected things that you can discover with it—those delightful moments in musical creation when you stumble upon a sound that you weren't looking for. Hybrid mode provides a comb. ...details

Offering the same unique sound palette as the legendary Roland Jupiter 8, the Jupiter-8 V virtual instrument is a sound designer's dream. Based on the latest version of TAE, the Jupiter-8 V also offers a host of modern features: an advanced step sequencer, a new line of dynamic effects, a module combining LFO's (called Galaxy), and lots more.An Accurate Recreation of the Roland Jupiter-8 The legacy of the Roland Jupiter synthesizers is due to their unique voice architecture and design, creating sounds that were so unreal that they have to be heard. For many musicians no other synths in the world can create analog sounds as cool and as authentic as these and it's now available for computer-based studios in a virtual format. The Jupiter-8 synth offers a very interesting combination of a high-pass, non-resonant filter and a low-pass resonant filter. The arpeggiator and the keyboard split make it a remarkable performance keyboard. Fast envelopes and precise oscillators confer to the Roland Jupiter-8's sounds its famous versatility.A Virtual Instrument with Innovative Additions With the Jupiter-8V virtual instrument, Arturia brings this magic back while adding a new generation of features to the virtual Roland synth opening a unique and contemporary sound palette:The virtual instrument software's Galaxy allows the user to choose from different LFO types and intertwine them together into a single unique modulation source, giving a new evolving element to the sound of the Jupiter 8.The Jupiter's step sequencer is also an assignable modulation source, which allows for easily generated patterns to be used to control the many interesting parameters of the virtual instrument's sound. In addition to the step sequencer and Galaxy modulation sources, each voice of the virtual synth now has its own suite of creative effects, which can be inserted into the main synthesizer signal path in each voice. Key parameters from each effect can be modulated by chosen sources, adding a new contemporary dimension to the traditional subtractive synthesis sound of the original Jupiter 8 synth.A Little Bit of History Back to the early 80s, the Prophet 5 and Oberheim OB series dominated the polyphonic synthesizer market. Having that in mind, the Roland Jupiter-8's success, initiated in 1981, took everyone by storm. But what made the Jupiter-8 so successful? Well, in terms of sonic possibilities, the synth complemented its competition by bringing something different. The Jupiter-8 was capable of creating very versatile sounds. You could easily make fat or crystal sounds with it. In fact, the Jupiter-8 synthesizer sounded the way it looked—sleek and polished. The electro-pop community became quickly convinced by the qualities of the Jupiter-8 synthesizer. "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood was produced incorporating a Jupiter 8, and players such as Vince Clarke, John Foxx, and Martyn Ware were also using it. The path to classic stat. ...details

Arturia MiniMoog V MKII Software Synthesizer.

Arturia Minimoog V MKII brings back the sound and special characteristics of the Moog synthesizer in a virtual instrument. The original Minimoog has particular characteritics for which it is loved by many musicians to this day. Arturia decided to reproduce the legendary synth interface with the same look and feel of the original because of its particular "mood" and because many musicians wish to use the same interface they used in the past. But the reproduction of this synthesizer does not stop at the look and feel—Arturia also recreates its inside characteristics as well.So what makes the sound of the Minimoog? First, the oscillators. Arturia recreates the exact characteristics of each oscillator, with its particular sound. As with any discrete component analog oscillator, the Minimoog V produces "free-running" waveforms that Arturia has captured in the sound.Secondly, the filter. Many digital filters have some characteristics which are very far from their analog references. The Minimoog V filter has the same characteristics as the original Minimoog one, i.e. its frequency and emphasis are completely independent. The Minimoog V filter is an true emulation of the renowned typical 24dB moog 4 stages filter. Another feature of the Minimoog filter is the emphasis decreases when the cutoff frequency is low. This allows a special characteristic of sound that lets the bass pass throught the filter when playing lower sounds. The soft clipping behaviour of the Minimoog amplification stages is also very important in the sound character, adding some pleasant harmonics to the sound, making basses sound more powerful.Sound MAP: Explore hundreds of sounds using Arturia's revolutionary Sound MAP. Locate areas you like and pick a sound that will stimulate your creativity. Morph sounds on the MAP by clicking anywhere you like. Add filters to make your search easier, or get back to the traditional list of presets, by sound-designer or by type. Be creative, be funky, be a sound-traveller.Vocal Filter: Did you ever think of making a Minimoog talk? Well Arturia thought of it and came with a very exciting solution called the Vocal Filter. Sonic results can be spectacular, similar to those sounds from Kubrick movies.Circuitry improvements: While Arturia built around the core Minimoog structure, they also added a few options in the circuits. The Keyboard Follow can now be deactivated on VCO2. In addition, Arturia extended the modulation matrix and added a few sources and destinations. The Pan and Vocal Filter can now be used as destinations. Two random signals based on a Sample&Hold are added as inputs. Arturia also allowed for using the voice number (from the polyphonic range) as a discreet source, which proved very interesting to control different parameters. What has been added We added some very useful enhancements to the original Minimoog, of course—polyphony, and many other simple and powerful features.Polyphony? that's what. ...details
