The Parker Dragonfly Electric Guitar is equipped with all the great features Parker is known for in an elegantly carved new shape. This Dragonfly showcases a new, more traditional and ergonomically shaped upper horn, while retaining the unmistakable Parker look and feel. The flared headstock provides more strength in a thinner profile on a faster more comfortable neck. The DragonFly also has a 22-fret fingerboard enabling precise placement of the neck pickup for that classic neck-position tone. The wear-resistant fingerboard is crafted from an extremely consistent carbon composite.The DragonFly guitar also marks the first time Parker has combined premium alder and basswood tone woods in a production model,providing a wider range of attainable tones. Like the original Fly, Parker covers the DragonFly's neck and body with their own special skin made of carbon, glass fiber, and epoxy resin, topped with a high-gloss finish.The Parker Dragonfly is loaded with a Seymour Duncan TB11 humbucking pickup in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan SSL2 single-coil pickup in the neck and middle positions. This humbucker/single/single pickup configuration delivers the wider palette of tones today's guitarists demand. Improved pickup mounting means you can swap out the included Duncans with the pickup of your choice. A standard 5-way pickup switch gives you the combinations of a typical 3-pickup pickup guitar. Split the humbucker-style bridge pickup into single-coil mode by pulling up the tone knob. To further expand the Dragonfly guitar's tonal versatility, Parker installed a Fishman piezo pickup in the bridge. This is driven by a Fishman double-voltage preamp with a dedicated volume knob. An additional 3-way toggle switch determines how the magnetic and piezo systems interact: magnetic only, magnetic plus piezo, and piezo only. The included stereo mic cable optionally splits the piezo and magnetic sound to send the magnetic pickups to your amp and the piezo directly into the mixer. The DragonFly bridge is Parker's own custom aluminum vibrato system, which you can play in either a fixed or floating position, thanks to a simple user adjustment through a hole in the back plate.
