ZVex Inventobox Guitar Multi Effects Pedal.
With the ZVex Effects Inventobox you can quickly design, build and modify your own guitar pedals without soldering! The Inventobox offers 2 different channels so you can build up to 2 different devices in the same stompbox. Zvex includes all necessary components to make effect pedal construction easy for you. There are a variety of potentiometer values and switches already inside the box, quickly accessible through tiny sockets which accept standard experimenter socket wires or included cables. Easily open the Inventobox guitar pedal to quickly modify the circuitry.4 basic components: The enclosure with 4 permanently-mounted 100k potentiometers (rotary controls), a pair of 3-position switches, 5 multi-colored LEDs, and 2 stomp switches with On/Off LEDs.Inside the dual enclosure is a window which contains connectors to access the input and output for channels 1 and 2, an LED work light to see the connectors more clearly, a 9VDC power connection, and various connectors for the multi-colored LEDs and potentiometers. The lid for the upper part of the enclosure which contains 12 removable potentiometers (the order and values can easily be changed), 12 LEDs, and sockets which let you easily hook up wires from your pedal circuit to the various controls and LEDs.The lid also has a removable brass shielded tray which contains an experimenter's socket where you build up your circuits.Design features: The Inventobox has several unique design features which make it easy to use as well as road-worthy when assembled. The brass tray provides electrostatic shielding between the bottom of the experimenter's socket and the potentiometers, eliminating cross-talk and noise issues. The removable brass tray on the upper enclosure's lid allows access to 12 removable potentiometers so you can easily set up the correct order for your pots, making the controls easy to remember. The design of the tray allows you to put a securing rubber band around the tray's edge to keep all potentiometer and LED wires in place. This makes the unit road-worthy. The security of the components and wiring is further enhanced by the use of one or more foam inserts which rest against the inside of the upper enclosure, holding vital components in place on the experimenter's socket. The lid locks in place on the two stomp switches for easy assembly when hooking up the cables to wire your circuit into the box. Just set the lid upside down on top of the stomp switches to lock it in place. Also, there are two stainless rods that hold the lid above the upper enclosure if you need to have it closer for easier wiring. Just slip the rods into the threaded screw holes in the enclosure, then hook the bent ends onto the lid.Other design features include labels on the brass tray and potentiometers that describe connections and values, and a specially-designed circuit board that holds the pots in alignment when changing the order for your designs. There are a number of different cables inc. ...details

ZVex Vexter Box of Rock Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal.
The Vexter Box of Rock is a silkscreened version of ZVex's first distortion pedal, highly specialized to simulate the "everything on 10" sound of a classic Marshall amplifier. Use your guitar's volume control to adjust the amount of distortion you need, all the way down to very clean and clear with most drive settings. The silkscreened ZVex Box has one "Distortron Engine" stomp switch—that's no typo, but what Mr. Vex himself calls his distortion circuit. The Box of Rock also contains an extremely high-headroom, unity-to-50X gain booster with nominal input impedance and low hiss.. ...details

ZVex Vextron Series Mastotron Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal Blue.
The ZVex Mastotron Effects Pedal, another in the Vextron series, is a heavy silicon-based fuzz pedal with a lot of controls—volume, tone, pulse width, fuzz, and relax/push. The relax/push controls the input impedance to the pedal. The guitar effects pedal knobs let you adjust for quieter pickups, or softer guitars, and turn it towards the relax setting as you put in active pickups, and turn it all the way to the relax setting for special effects and for line-level signals if you are re-amping a bass off a recorded track. The Mastotron's fuzz control is a wide control over the fuzz depth. Pulse width control goes from a narrow pulse all the way to a nearly square wave pulse. The tone control shaves off the high end. A sub switch lets you set how many subs you have with a "2-1-3" arrangement while the dedicated volume knob controls how loud the guitar pedal gets. Plug your guitar (or any effect's output) into the input jack. Plug the output into an amp or other effect's input. Set the amp for a warm clean tone on bypass. Turn on the pedal and rock out. Using a guitar or bass, turn the Relax/Push knob down a bit if you need to until the fuzz sounds immediate and tight. Turn the Vextron Mastotron's fuzz control until you're happy, and set the PW to square (counter-clockwise). Adjust the tone for the treble amount you want, and use the sub switch on 3 for full heavy subs for bass or 2 if the subs are overloading your amp.Set your amp on your favorite clean tone for the most blistering results, while a distorted sound can be very cool as well. Play it into your favorite distortion pedals or direct into the amp for different textures. Try putting weird effects into the ZVex Mastotron pedal and adjust the Relax/Push knob for best interfacing. If the performance of your fuzz pedal seems diminished or the LED becomes very dim, it's time to change your battery. Remove the four screws on the bottom of the effect pedal and carefully remove and replace the old battery, putting it back exactly in the center of the pedal on edge so that it is gripped tightly by the lid when it is screwed back in place.. ...details

ZVex Vexter Box of Metal Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal.
The ZVex Box of Metal is an aggressive high-gain distortion pedal with a highly effective built-in switchable gate which dramatically reduces noise and unwanted feedback. Its gain and tonal characteristics are somewhat similar to high-gain tube amplifiers that have been the staple of hard rock and metal sounds since the 80's. On the right, the guitar effects pedal has a true-bypass switch with an indicator LED to bypass the entire effect. On the left is a gate switch, that is only effective when the pedal is on (the gate cannot be used separately.) When the gate's LED (on the left side of the pedal) is on, the gate will be active whenever the pedal is turned on. The gate is very useful for cleaning up any noise between palm-muted chords and lead phrases, but may be switched off to initiate feedback or to stretch out soloed notes that are fading into noise. Switching off and on the gate is silent so the gating action of the distortion pedal can instantly be changed during any part of the performance to fluidly integrate soloing and palm-muted chords. The ZVex Vexter Box Guitar Pedal Controls Gate: Adjust for your playing style. When fully clockwise, palm-muting will create an audible thump and bumping the strings will open the gate. Turn down to make the gate tighter. Gate is unaffected by other controls. Drive: Sets the amount of distortion. The Bridge of Metal does not clean up. This control goes from hard to very hard. It may crackle when turned—this is perfectly normal. Treble: adjust for treble content. Use this in tandem with your amp's presence and treble controls to get the precise top-end texture—the presence control is very important on your amp, if you have one. Midrange: Adjust to accentuate or scoop out mids. Bass: Sets the bass/sub-bass level. Volume: Sets the output volume of the pedal. Note that the LED on the right is for the bypass switch and the LED on the left is for the gate. The Drive and control is based on the original ZVex Super Hard-On gain control, so it may crackle when turned. This is perfectly normal.Operation: Plug your guitar (or any effect's output) into the right hand input jack. Plug the output into an amp or other effect's input. Enjoy in moderation. Watch the output volume setting... with the gate turned on, you may not notice just how loud the distortion pedal is going to be until you play! Set the clean sound on your amp for any level of pristine cleanliness to heavy crunch. The Box of Metal effects pedal should do very well driving any amount of nominal distortion. The presence control on your amp will have a strong influence on the top-end texture of your ZVex pedal.. ...details

ZVex Vexter Fuzz Factory Guitar Effects Pedal ¹.
The Vexter Fuzz Factory from ZVex is a 5-knob fuzz pedal with 2 NOS '60s germanium transistors, and it comes in a hand-polished aluminum chassis with hand-silkscreened, 2-color text. Though the circuit isn't modeled after any one specific classic fuzz, it delivers tones straight out of the 1960s. These 5 knobs control the Fuzz Factory's parameters at various operating levels, letting you shape your own personalized fuzz effect. ZVex designed the Fuzz Factory to consume less energy than other effects pedals. When on, the Fuzz Factory's current is less than 3 mA. This fuzz pedal is hand-painted and assembled, and each is unique.Fuzz Factory ControlsVolume: Output level Gate: Squelches noise after end of sustain. Turn to the right to eliminate squeals, hiss, and buzz, stopping just as they disappear, or use to tune in exact feedback pitch. Turning to the left opens gate. Compress: Adds attack characteristic when turned to the left, which gets softer to right, and suddenly pinches tone when all the way right. Also tunes in fat, feedbacky fuzz. Lower the Stability and see what happens to this control. Drive: Increases distortion when used as a "normal" fuzz and adjusts feedback pitch and tonal thickness. Stability: Use to control feedback pitch. This is one of the more finicky controls, so it will take some experimentation to get it right.. ...details

ZVex Vextron Series Distortron Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal Red¹.
The ZVex Distortron guitar pedal is the gifted little sister of ZVex's "Box of Rock" stompbox. ZVex designed the Distortron distortion effect to simulate the "everything on 10" sound of a classic Marshall JTM45 non-master-volume amplifier. With the Distortron pedal your guitar's volume control adjusts for the exact amount of distortion needed—all the way down to the clean and clear sounds you can get with most drive settings when the gain switch is set to low. The Distortron effect pedal's controls function as follows:•Drive: sets distortion amount—begin at around the 1 o'clock position. Based on the original "Super Hard-On" gain control, it may crackle when turned, which is normal. •Tone: Adjusts for treble content—begin at around the 2 o'clock position •Volume: Adjusts output volume level—begin at around the 9 o'clock position •Gain switch: "Lo/Hi" switch lets you choose the standard "Box of Rock" gain level or a slightly boosted level •Subs switch: "2-1-3" switch lets you choose the standard "Box of Rock" sub amount (on option 3) or two different lower levels of subs, depending on your amp's needsRecommendations for operation: Plug your guitar (or any effect's output) into the Distortron's right-hand input jack. Plug the output into an amp or other effect's input. Rock out. Set the sub's switch so there's just enough low-end for your amp. Try turning up the gain all the way but leave the gain switch on Lo. This is the maximum gain where you can still turn down your guitar and get a completely clean tone if you need it. With the gain switch on Hi, you can get more sustain with feedback at a moderate amp volume. Try using your rhythm pickup with the tone control turned all the way down for a vintage, bluesy lead sound.Recommendations for pedal placement: Try the ZVex Distortron last in your pedal chain, just before the amp. Set the amp for your favorite clean tone, set the Distortron pedal for your favorite distortion tone, and if you're using a booster pedal as well, try it both before and after the Distortron to experience different results: before the Distortron will give you more sustain, while after it will give you more amp volume (or drive, if you use a distorted amp sound).Don't leave your other distortion pedals in the closet—many distortion pedals sound amazing with the ZVex Vextron Series Distortron, so you may discover a whole new appreciation for your old distortion pedal collection.. ...details
